Although we are only four months into the rule of the incompetent orange fascist, things have moved quite quickly in our country’s descent into authoritarianism. Most prominently, the administration is taking aim at civil rights and civil liberties with extreme prejudice.
First on the target list are migrants and their families. The regime knows that this is a group of people who generally don’t have the financial means or wherewithal to defend themselves from such an onslaught. As a result, the cruelty used by the regime in persecuting them has been astonishing in its debasement.
Many will likely be familiar with the case of Maryland resident, Kilmar Abrego Garcia. Garcia had a withholding order which legally should have prevented his deportation unless there was a legal process showing why the order should be lifted. Of course the government didn’t care about the law and sent him off to the El Salvadoran concentration camp known as CECOT.
Thankfully, there are lawyers fighting the good fight and judges from across the political spectrum finding that this assault on justice cannot be allowed to stand. That probably doesn’t mean much to Kilmar or the 90% of people deported to CECOT who have no criminal record whatsoever as they await a resolution.
The regime, of course, is attempting to run roughshod over the courts in a show of force. A shock and awe tactic in its strategy to solidify a unitary theory of political power vested only in the executive.
These people give no fucks and are willing to abduct and disappear American citizen children, some of whom are cancer patients, without any due process.
Many of those swept up in ICE’s lawless dragnet are Venezuelans, Cubans, Haitians, and Colombians. All nationalities with large representations in the Miami metro area. The South Florida connection to the abuse of power also extends to the Krome Detention facility.
The country’s oldest and most notorious immigration jail has returned to its place as the first circle of hell for many migrants. Recent reports tell of people sleeping on concrete floors without so much as a pillow and women being housed with men in violation of federal law. It seems that the MAGAverse’s fear of co-ed anything is only true when convenient for their political attacks.
One would think that any South Florida politician would find a way to secure thier positions with these migrant groups and would be engaging on how to stop this madness. Especially if those politicians are themselves immigrants who, but for luck of their positions, may have also been in similar situations to some of their constituents wallowing away in third world prison camps.
But because these “leaders” are spineless cowards, they chose to stay silent and hope that their absence from the public eye will shield them from reprisals and recriminations about their weak defenses of the rule of law which they claim to support.
This is an opening that progressives need to exploit incessantly and vigorously because the issue is ripe for use as a springboard to a political offensive against the regime and its supporters throughout all levels of government.
While immigration is a federal issue without much legs in local elections, the overwhelming nature of the regime’s ideology and the requirement for absolute fealty to every plank of their heinous agenda makes it so that every political actor must chose a side on every issue in today’s America.
Every political entity from municipalities to universities have been forced to make a decision about how they intend to either help or hinder the government’s efforts to destroy people’s lives. For now, many in South Florida have chosen to side with the regime believing that the political winds are still blowing in the same direction that they were four months ago.
Recent evidence indicates, however, that these winds are shifting. Likely because while Americans want something “done” about immigration, their beliefs are much more nuanced than mainstream media has explained. This opening must be the first significant wedge that Democrats and the left use to split independents from the Trumpist coalition and activate the indifferent masses whose eyes are finally being opened to the mendacity of the regime’s goals. More importantly, these masses need to be shown that if a natural born citizen can be disappeared without so much as a summary proceeding, what’s stopping something similar from happening to them.
Now is the time to call out our absentee and sycophantic representatives, commissioners, mayors and so called leaders to turn the screws. We must make them pay a steep political price for selling out their own people in the name of expedience. If they arent willing to stand up for us, then we must make them step down.
Below is the contact for all of the guilty parties. Bombard them, spam them and tell them that their time trying to play the fence is over.
